Fees & Deposits
To reserve your child’s place for the school year, families pay a registration fee and a deposit at enrollment:
There are no hidden charges for supplies or special events. Families simply pack a daily snack (and lunch for children staying for afternoon care).
- Registration Fee: $40 (non-refundable)
- Deposit: $500, due March 25, 2026
- The deposit is non-refundable and is applied as pre-paid tuition, so it counts toward your annual total.
Payment Options Available
We know that tuition is a significant investment for families in Newton and surrounding towns. Payment options are available so you can spread the annual cost over the school year rather than paying all at once. Our directors are happy to walk through the schedule that works best for your household.
Flexible daycare is billed separately based on the hours your child attends, so your monthly costs reflect your actual needs — a feature families from Newton, Waltham, Watertown, and Needham particularly appreciate.
Questions about payment plans or financial considerations? Please contact us — we’re glad to talk confidentially.
Choosing the Right Schedule for Your Child
Every child is different. Many families start younger children with two or three mornings in the Pony Class and increase days as their child grows more comfortable. By Pre-K, five mornings a week help children build the routine they’ll need in kindergarten.
Consider pairing any schedule with flexible daycare. A child enrolled three mornings might stay until 3:00pm on Mondays and pick up at noon other days — you’re billed only for the hours used. Explore the daily rhythm on our Our Program page and learn about our classrooms on the Preschool Program page.
Planning Ahead for Enrollment
Enrollment for the next school year typically begins in early winter. Because spaces fill quickly, families are encouraged to tour in the fall and submit the $40 registration fee and $500 deposit promptly once they decide to enroll. Returning ACNS families usually have the opportunity to re-enroll before spaces open to new families. Questions about timing? Contact us or review the ACNS School Calendar.
