Executive Director of ACNS since 1980. She has a B.S. from Framingham State University and a Masters in Supervision and Counseling from Suffolk University. Barbara was a first-grade teacher, a special education teacher, and a school counselor. She has been a Newton resident since 1973. She has always been involved in the Newton community – as a “Big Sister,” a volunteer for the Parent & Child Program, PTA President, YMCA Board Member, and founding member of NECA and the Underwood After School Program. She served as Chair of the Newton Child Care Commission for 20 years. She has three adult children (2 of whom are ACNS graduates) and six grandchildren (3 of whom are ACNS graduates!). Barbara has dedicated her life to working to uphold the highest quality of childcare in Newton.
Director at ACNS since 2011. She is a graduate of UMASS Amherst with a B.A. in Communication. She worked in advertising and then the Boston Athletic Association for 8 years. At ACNS, she was a classroom teacher, an assistant director, and now a certified Director II through the M.A. Department of Early Education & Care. She is a Newton Early Childhood Association member and is currently pursuing a Masters in Early Education. Her 2 children are graduates of ACNS, and they still love to hear stories about what’s going on at ACNS. Tasha is very happy to be able to pursue her true passion of working with young children and their families.
Eileen has been with ACNS since 2014. She was a classroom teacher for five years while completing her coursework for the Department of Early Education and Care Director II certification. Eileen has a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from Saint Anselm College and is currently pursuing the continuation of her education in Early Childhood – a field she has truly found fulfilling. She is a member of the Newton Early Childhood Association. Eileen spent 15+ years in the event planning industry. As much as she loved the hustle and bustle of executing international corporate events, Eileen was happy to return to where her heart is in early education.
