ACNS follows the Newton Public Schools in regards to closing schools or delayed opening due to inclement weather.

If Newton Public Schools delay the start of school by one hour, ACNS will open at 9:00 a.m. If Newton Public Schools delay by two hours, ACNS will open at 10:00 a.m. With a delayed start, there is no morning daycare, the children go directly to their classrooms.

If a substantial snowstorm is expected to hit the area in the afternoon, we will call all parents whose children are staying for afternoon daycare and advise them what time we are planning on closing the school; we will make every effort to give 2 hours notice. If Newton Public Schools announce school is closed, ACNS Nursery School and Daycare are also closed.
